Tomorrow (3-28-2017) is the last night for our Tuesday evening Restorative Yoga. Please come to experience Eren's last Restorative class at the studio as she makes way to a new plateau within her Restorative Yoga healing modality.
As a result of Eren's departure, the class is temporarily being postponed. Hang on though and stay tuned for a new exciting evening class to open up this spring!!

It is time for Dede to part ways with the Pilates and Yoga for Life family to devote more time to her Church mission. We will deeply miss her and wish her all the best. There will be no break in class.

We no longer need to collect sales tax. A bill that was vetoed by the governor was overridden by the legislature. We had been considered entertainment and now are considered a service. This is good news!!
If you paid for a package after October 14, you will be credited the sales tax on your next purchase.

Here we are at the end of summer and most kids are finally back in school. Maybe you sense a change of pace. I know I have! I feel the change in the weather outside, in the shorter days, in the traffic- even the squirrels are gathering food as though they too realize its time to get busy! After a week or so of experiencing a new rhythm, perhaps a small (or loud) voice inside whispers to you that it's time to refocus!!
I hope you were able carve a few quiet moments during the warmer months and take a bit of time for yourself. However, many of us may agree that as wonderful a looser schedule can be; all of the freedom can also include a lack of direction. So, while it's certainly nice to have more time to live in the moment, once summer winds down, it's likely structure that you crave.
A need for reconnection to all those things that you temporarily put on hold. If you are looking for a way to connect with your fitness and overall health goals, consider the consistency of a weekly Yoga or Pilates practice! It is the consistency that will make all of the difference in the flexibility and stretch building of your body and on a mental and emotional level as well.
Don't forget to check out the updated schedule. Go ahead and meet a new teacher or check out a different class. There is truly something for everyone! To make your mat practice work, you have to do the work and make it to the mat consistently.
No matter how wonderful your connections may be, no one can do the work for you :)

In June, Kathy Wehrfritz RYT 200, is offering a 4 weeks class at Pilates & Yoga for Life, O’Fallon.
As a convenience, all classes in the series can be offered for one price, $50 (plus tax) for all four classes.
Advanced resignation is required for this pricing. Individual classes are $15 (plus tax) and will only be available is space permits. Space is very limited.

Gentle Yoga: All levels of experience are welcome including beginners!
1:30 – 2:30 pm
This class is designed to offer a total body workout with an emphasis on the relaxation benefits of yoga.
Gentle yoga classes are typically described as appropriate for those who want a softer, nurturing, slow-paced, well-supported and relaxing practice. The approach includes carefully orchestrated movements, controlled pressure, and well-measured stretches, including range of motion exercises.
